| We received the Magefesa Star R 10 Quart Pressure Cooker very quickly. This has to be the best pressure cooker on the market and at the best price too. It has a heavy bottom and is built safe and solid. This is our second and larger Magefesa pressure cooker and we couldn't be happier with them both. The 10 quart size allows cooking with alot of ingrediants and for more people and is a nice versital size cooker. |

I received my Pressure Fryer the other day and it looks great. There is so few pressure Fryers out there, the only two I found with the heavy bar on the lid were both foreign.
I was not happy with the streamer basket, it was kind of small and short. I wanted a deeper one for the price I paid for this.
And most importantly, I did NOT receive a manufactor booklet for using this item. I know it is foreign and but you really NEED the booklet for ordering new seals on it; when they eventually go out on the lid. But most importantly I needed the book, so I know what the limits to frying with this thing!!
I had to order a How to book online for pressure cooking and it says "MAKE sure you get a manufactor book with your pot.." I can't believe they didn't give me one?? I guess different pressure pots have different cooking specs..
Aside from all that, it's a good heavy duty pot, but the price is some what steep on this item. |

The best pressure cooker you can buy

I just received my 12 quart Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker a week ago and I've used it three times already. I was replacing my 30 year old 6 quart Presto cooker mainly because I wanted a larger utensil. I wasn't dissatisfied with my Presto, but until I tried this Kuhn Rikon, I didn't realize that such a gap existed in terms of quality.
I am so glad I chose this Kuhn Rikon 12 quart model. It is a very well built, heavy gauge stainless steel cooker with a nice heavy bottom to help heat it evenly. The handles are sturdy don't get hot while cooking on my gas range. The lid attaches and twists into place very easily with no awkwardness or sticking. The lid gasket is thick and heavy duty. There is no jiggler weight to get lost.
The unit is very quiet. It is so quiet that I almost didn't notice when it had come up to pressure the first time I used it. You have to visually monitor it until you reach your cooking pressure and adjust your heat source to maintain it. There is no escaping rush of steam or hissing jiggler to alert you. But this is in no way a drawback. The cooker comes up to pressure quickly, and thanks to the red lines on the pop up pressure indicator, it is easy to adjust your heat to maintain the desired pressure. The faintest wisp of steam escapes from under the top steam deflector during cooking.
If you want to release pressure quickly, you can push down on the central pressure valve with your bare finger without getting burned. It gets a little warm, but does not get hot. All of the steam is deflected by the round deflector on top. You can also push the pressure stem down with a spoon if you prefer.
There are no negatives with this cooker from a usability perspective. I believe it is the best pressure cooker on the market. The only thing stopping this cooker from completely cornering the market is the hefty price. If it were priced 50% lower, it would easily take over market share from other contenders. |

| This pressure cooker is great for working with a conventional electric stove top. It does everything you need from a pressure cooker. We have a 21-quart pressure cooker that we use over an outside propane burner for cooking large amounts for parties. But, we needed something that we could use for regular use and this pressure cooker was perfect. It's easy to use, clean, and store. My husband just loves this thing!!! |

Initially I was hesitant to buy it because of the significant price difference with the other pressure cookers, finally after lots of thinking,I decided to get the family style 8 qt stockpot.
I cannot be happier with this purchase. I am able to cook delicious, wholesome food in a short period of time. The operation is also very simple and quiet.
I am looking forward to try new recipes using this cooker.
I love this pressure cooker so much, I am planning to install a bigger sink in the kitchen!
You definitely get what you paid for!
